    CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Hand assembles and/or monitors the machine assembly of various filters and components as outlined in the Process Instructions for the assigned work area. This involves working at different workstations in different areas.

    + Operates and monitors assembly line machines and activities. Refers problems to supervision.

    + Performs minor assembly line set up duties in preparation of assembly operations.

    + Obtains inspection report approval from department supervision.

    + Responsible for meeting established unit production standards.

    + Responsible for inspection of all work, assuring that defective product is not processed. Immediately reports problems to department supervision.

    + Conducts on-the-job training for other employees as assigned

    + Completes paperwork as required, including quality records, scrap reports and machine logs. Reports production as required, using the computer system.

    + Keeps work area clean, orderly, and free of obstruction.

    + Responsible for observing safety rules at all times and immediately reports unsafe conditions to department supervision.

    + Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Quality Assurance Technician supports the Quality Team, Production Lines, and others, ensuring consistent production quality standards and good manufacturing practices are enforced. This position validates processes, performs audits, oversees corrective actions and improvements, provides documents, and calibrates gages and test equipment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Supports Quality Assurance team and provide reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.

    + Inspects and audits components and finished goods from receiving through manufacturing.

    + Monitor non-conforming parts to ensure proper disposition and control.

    + Enter quality data into relevant databases and provide quality reports.

    + Assist with data collection for dimensional layouts, capability studies, customer notifications and PPAP submissions.

    + Support Production Lines and other groups, as appropriate, and provide reports against standards and specifications.

    + Serve as a technical resource for production groups and others, regarding product characteristics and quality requirements.

    + Investigate quality issues to ensure issues are addressed and resolved.

    + Liaison between Manufacturing and Support Departments to resolve quality issues.

    + Training on quality standards and procedures.

    + Manage quality assurance activities as assigned.

    + MRB. Verify, identify, contain, disposition non-conforming product.

    + Corrective Actions. Verify, issue, and monitor corrective action requests.

    + Document Control. Document creation, approval, publishing, review, archive, disposal, storage.

    + Calibration. Maintain calibration procedures, perform and/or arrange for calibrations, use gage software, perform R&R studies.

    + Other • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, standards, and practices

    + Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control

    + Work in a team environment • Rotate jobs as needed

    + Mindful of improving methods and processes in completing assignments.

    + Implements new ideas on approval of supervisor/manager.

    + Other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by Supervisor /Manager.

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Required: High School diploma/GED. Five years in a manufacturing environment with at least three years in the field of quality assurance or equivalent. Experience in corrective actions and problem solving. Completed training for AIAG Core Tools, e.g., APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP. Experience at a previous employer may be considered and applied to the experience requirement at the discretion of the Divisional Quality Manager. Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Divisional Quality Manager.

    + Preferred: Associate degree in business administration, manufacturing technology or related courses. Five years’ experience in manufacturing environment with at least three years in Quality Assurance.

    + SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency with personal computers and applicable software, including Microsoft Office and Windows, statistical software, and data analysis. Proficiency with basic measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and digital indicators. Occasionally requires individual to handle and transport parts and materials weighing up to approximately thirty-five pounds

    Closing Statement: Competitive Compensation:

    + Hourly pay range for this role is $23.80-$27.95
