Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Receive production items; deliver to Quality Control in a timely manner.
• Receive non-production items, deliver to, or inform recipient of arrival in keeping with the requirements of Huron Humanetics HazMat procedures.
• Pull the correct product & quantity from the crib. Prepare product and arrange carrier for shipment.
• Prepare all shipment paperwork including, Syteline packer, Letter of Instruction (Int’l shipments) and labels.
• Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers and inserts items into containers.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Prepare outside vendors shipments as required.
• Monitor shipment Pick Tickets for materials shortages.
• Cross train for other duties within the Materials Department.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A degree of independence within agreed policies, targets, and budgets

• Works within in a team spirit. Understands how to resolve issues without causing conflict.
Physical Demands:
• Able to lift 50 lbs. routinely and move product on and off shelving.
• Bending, stooping, standing (up to 75% of hours worked), sitting, lift overhead.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Visual acuity to verify part and serial number and to complete paper and computer work.
• Ability to stand 7 hours of an 8-hour shift and be mobile throughout the plant.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and delivery personnel.
• Ability to retrieve and enter data into the computer.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, and over the road drivers.
Education and/or Experience:
• High School diploma or GED and six months to one-year related experience and/or training
• Experience with expediting and scheduling.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Familiarity with pull and KanBan Systems
