Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description
The Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring patients receive their medications on time by assisting with the fulfillment of patient orders. This position supports medication dispensing, inventory management, patient safety, and facilitates patient medication orders to aid compliance with treatment plans.
Responsibilities
+ Understand and maintain confidentiality with respect to patient care, complying with all federal and state laws related to the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI).
+ Coordinate the delivery of medications to patients.
+ Manage patient orders to ensure completion and readiness for pharmacist verification.
+ Access, input, and retrieve information through the computer network to maintain accurate records.
+ Utilize pharmacy systems technology and automation to optimize workflow and streamline the medication dispensing process.
+ Maintain inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and liaise with suppliers to ensure the availability of essential medications, reducing delays in patient care.
+ Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accurate and timely preparation and distribution of medications for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
+ Comply with established procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Promote teamwork, professional services, and clear communication.
+ Recognize and adhere to the scope and limitations of job requirements.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.
+ Ability to stand for long periods of time.
+ Proficiency in data entry.
+ Experience with retail pharmacy operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in pharmacy fulfillment.
+ CPhT certification.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position located in Plano, TX. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The role offers cross-training in all areas, providing long-term career development opportunities.

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
