Job Title: Quality Engineer
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with strong expertise in IATF auditing and quality engineering to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting supplier quality initiatives. This person will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage IATF audits, both internal and external.
+ Develop and maintain quality systems and documentation to meet automotive standards.
+ Support supplier quality activities, including issue resolution and PPAP documentation.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and quality performance.
+ Provide guidance and training on quality processes and standards.
+ Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
+ Balance responsibilities between on-floor activities (70%) and desk work (30%).
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of Experience with IATF requirements and APQP processes.
+ Internal Lead Auditor certification and experience conducting audits.
+ Background in the automotive industry (2+ years)
+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience is accepted.
+ Experience in rubber manufacturing is a plus.
Work Environment
The role involves spending approximately 70% of the time on the floor and 30% in the office.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
