    Job Title: DrafterJob Description

     

    The drafter is responsible for preparing product drawings in AutoCAD 2D, creating project bills of materials, and maintaining equipment parts lists. This role involves ordering parts, scheduling deliveries, and reconciling invoices for parts, as instructed by the Engineering Supervisor or their designee.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare engineering drawings of the company’s standard products using CAD software in AutoCAD 2D.

    + Assist in the product development process by preparing engineering sketches and drawings from prototype products or samples.

    + Create and maintain project bills of materials.

    + Assist with drafting modifications to pre-existing drawings at customer requests.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of professional design experience in AutoCAD 2D.

    + 2+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in design, CAM, CAD software, and engineering.

    + Knowledge of 2D modeling, tooling, measuring, and caliper tooling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in drafting, design engineering, R&D, reverse engineering, AutoCAD, CAD, and mechanical engineering.

    Work Environment

    The candidate will work in an office environment with occasional visits to the shop floor to interact with engineers, shop personnel, and salespeople. The role involves working collaboratively in a team 80% of the time and independently 20% of the time. All necessary personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, a hard hat, and steel-toe boots, will be provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
