Job Title: Antenna EngineerJob Description

Your mission is to accelerate the development of novel antenna technologies at the core of next-generation LEO satellite communications. You will be responsible for research, simulation, design, optimization, testing, and calibration, leading to the rapid deployment of these technologies in an operational satellite constellation.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct research and simulations to develop novel antenna technologies.

+ Design and optimize antennas for LEO satellite communications.

+ Test and calibrate antenna systems for operational deployment.

+ Collaborate with the antenna team to analyze test results and refine designs.

Essential Skills

+ At least 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree in an engineering discipline focused on electromagnetic theory and/or microwave circuits.

+ Strong understanding of electromagnetics and optics in microwave systems.

+ Expertise in electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKO.

+ Application of system simulation tools like Python or MATLAB.

+ Experience in designing electronically scanned antennas and compact antennas such as patches and horns.

+ Familiarity with range testing and operation of relevant test equipment.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with frequency selective services (FSS) and metamaterial arrays.

+ Experience developing reflectarray or transmitarray antennas.

+ Experience designing antennas for PCB manufacturability.

+ Broader experience with RF/microwave systems, particularly in the 10.7 GHz – 51.4 GHz range.

+ Experience with passive RF component characterization.

+ Experience with near-field antenna range testing and advanced beamforming methods.

+ Experience using automation for exploratory RF design analysis.

+ Experience with space-qualified systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Long Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $240000.00/yr.
