Job Title: Greenhouse Technician – Plant & Seed Production
**Location:** Durham, NC
**Employer:** Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences (On-site at Syngenta)
**Pay Rate:** $ 21.09/hour
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Ability to work weekends or occasional holidays as needed)
Overview
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a **Greenhouse Technician** to support a global leader in agricultural innovation, in their Durham greenhouse operations. In this role, you will work hands-on with commercial crops—including soybean and maize—in a controlled environment to support plant and seed production activities. This position is ideal for someone passionate about plant science, attentive to detail, and motivated to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform daily plant care, including hand watering, fertilizing, and general maintenance.
+ Conduct planting, sampling, transplanting, pollinating, and discarding of plants as needed.
+ Record plant growth observations and collect performance data.
+ Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and documentation standards.
+ Adhere to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines and company stewardship practices.
+ Utilize MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal databases for data entry and reporting.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
+ **BS degree** in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field; **OR**
+ **Associate’s degree** with **2+ years** of experience in plant biology.
Preferred & Required Skills:
+ Prior greenhouse experience strongly preferred.
+ Ability to perform all physical duties related to greenhouse operations within a controlled environment.
+ Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ High attention to detail, especially regarding plant care and experimental procedures.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Commitment to safe work practices and regulatory compliance.

**Pay Details:** $21.09 per hour
