Description

Seeking a Systems Engineer to support the full lifecycle of avionics subsystems for safety-critical embedded mission software. This role contributes to system design, requirements development, integration, and verification for modern defense platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering tasks for a major rotorcraft modernization program (FLRAA)

• Develop and manage system, software, and subsystem requirements

• Define internal and external interfaces

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, integration/test)

• Allocate requirements across engineering disciplines

• Support verification planning and documentation

• Create and execute test plans, procedures, and reports

• Conduct integration, verification, and validation testing

MBSE, CAMEO, avionics systems, requirements, verification

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field with 2+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with no experience required

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), preferably using CAMEO

• Experience developing software requirements and collaborating with software engineers

• Familiarity with system/software integration and testing

• U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for Secret clearance and special access facility

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of system design, requirements definition, and documentation

• Experience with system verification and test execution

• Cross-functional team collaboration (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test)

• Programming skills in C, C++, or Python

• Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)

• Strong customer relationship skills

• Active Secret clearance preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
