Job Description
We're seeking an outstanding mechanical engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks swiftly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs, including related analysis and documentation, specifically for fixturing and tooling systems. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering for both prototype and production level designs.
Responsibilities
+ Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for fixturing and tooling systems.
+ Conduct analysis and documentation for mechanical designs.
+ Collaborate in interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware Reliability and Firmware teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work.
+ Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials in DFA DFM and manufacturing process development.
+ Specify and justify margins and test sequences for military/aerospace systems.
+ Qualify military/aerospace systems with focus on production fixturing and tooling.
+ Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production labor and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
+ 5 years of experience with CAD.
+ Proficiency with NX TeamCenter.
+ Experience in DFA DFM and manufacturing process development.
+ 5 years of experience with design and development of hardware at scale, high-end optics, and precision mechanisms.
+ 5 years of experience with development, testing, and deployment of military/aerospace systems.
+ Experience with GDT and tolerance analysis.
+ Strong communication and writing skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $77.00/hr.
