Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our CPA firm client in Los Angeles, California. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing financial processes, analyzing complex financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards for a book of clients. You will play a vital role in overseeing bookkeeping operations, conducting year-end reviews, and preparing accurate financial reports. This is hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days WFH.

Responsibilities:

• Review financial files and ensure accuracy during year-end processes.

• Manage off-cycle payroll and oversee 401(k) contributions.

• Analyze profit and loss statements and balance sheets for multiple clients.

• Transition accounting processes from cash-based to accrual-based systems.

• Conduct month-end close procedures and reconcile accounts.

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

• Collaborate with bookkeeping staff to ensure timely and accurate client deliverables.

• Oversee financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online for efficient bookkeeping and accounting operations.

• Provide leadership and support to entry-level accounting staff.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.

• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and audits.

• Solid understanding of accrual-based and cash-based accounting.

• Ability to perform account reconciliations and prepare accurate journal entries.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle complex financial data.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage staff effectively.
