Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including accurate data entry of invoices.

• Verify invoices to ensure proper documentation and compliance with vendor contracts.

• Monitor vendor contracts and track associated agreements for accuracy.

• Handle lien release documentation and maintain proper filing procedures.

• Organize and scan documents for efficient record-keeping and retrieval.

• Prepare and submit 1099 reporting to meet tax and regulatory standards.

• Provide general clerical support for accounting tasks as needed.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and efficiency initiatives.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting functions.

• Familiarity with invoice coding and processing procedures.

• Knowledge of check runs and payment processing.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to review contracts and invoices for accuracy.

• Proficiency in tracking and organizing documentation, such as insurance certificates and lien releases.

• Experience with 1099 reporting and tax compliance.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
