Position Summary
The Project Controls Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for project controls functions across multiple projects. This role ensures alignment with organizational objectives by driving cost, schedule, and performance excellence. The manager serves as a key advisor to senior leadership, integrating financial, operational, and technical data to support informed decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Lead & Inspire: Build and mentor a high-performing project controls team.
+ Strategize for Success: Define and implement project controls standards that set the benchmark.
+ Own the Numbers: Oversee forecasting, earned value analysis, and executive-level reporting.
+ Collaborate at the Top: Serve as the key liaison between project management, finance, and senior leadership.
+ Mitigate Risk: Implement robust risk management and change control processes **.**
Key Responsibilities
+ **Leadership & Strategy:**
+ Define and implement project controls strategy to support organizational goals.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project controls team.
+ Establish governance standards for cost, schedule, and risk management.
+ **Operational Excellence:**
+ Oversee development and maintenance of project control systems using Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra.
+ Ensure accurate forecasting, earned value analysis, and variance reporting for executive review.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability.
+ **Stakeholder Engagement:**
+ Act as the primary liaison between project management, finance and leadership.
+ Provide executive-level reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership.
+ **Risk & Compliance:**
+ Implement robust risk management and change control processes.
+ Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and corporate standards.
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in technical, financial, or business discipline (or equivalent experience).
+ 12+ years in project controls, including leadership roles and complex project environments.
+ PMP preferred.
Job Knowledge/Qualifications
+ Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra.
+ Strong knowledge of critical path method logic, cost/schedule integration, and earned value management.
+ Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Power BI preferred.
+ Familiarity with CostPoint financial reporting system.

+ **Forecast Accuracy:**
+ Achieve ≥90% accuracy in monthly cost and schedule forecasts.
+ **Reporting Timeliness:**
+ Deliver executive reports within 3 business days of reporting period close.
+ **Team Development:**
+ Maintain ≥90% compliance with training and development plans for project controls staff.
+ **System Utilization:**
+ Ensure 100% adoption of Primavera P6 and Cobra across active projects.
