Job Description

Join a dynamic team where you will work on sophisticated packaging machinery. Your role will involve setting up and operating auto packagers, cutters, and fillers. You will also manage adjustments, such as altering hoses and blades, adding new films and rolls, and ensuring the machinery runs smoothly. This position requires a keen eye for detail as you will inspect products for defects and manage machinery jams.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and set up packaging machinery, including auto packagers, cutters, and fillers.

+ Adjust and maintain machinery components like hoses and blades.

+ Load new film and rolls into machinery.

+ Enter orders and runs into the computer system.

+ Manage and unclog machinery jams.

+ Inspect products for quality and defects.

+ Operate machinery for filling, cutting, sealing, and packaging sauce packets and containers.

+ Connect hoses to tankers and fillers.

+ Climb ladders to access the top of machinery, requiring comfort with heights.

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of GMP experience.

+ 1 year of packaging experience.

+ 1 year of manufacturing experience.

+ Ability to lift 40 lbs. individually.

+ Comfort with climbing ladders and working on mezzanines above machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bilingual abilities.

+ Experience with blending and batch mixing.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean and well-maintained facility, featuring packaging machinery, kettles, tanks, and inventory. The environment is temperature-controlled, although it may be warmer near machinery and kettles. Employees are expected to wear hairnets, beard nets, work pants, and non-slip boots in compliance with GMP standards. The facility has a pleasant atmosphere and is known for its good smell.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.85 - $18.85/hr.
