    Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

    Job Description

As a CNC Mill Machinist, you will set up, operate, and adjust various types of conventional or automatic machines, including CNC Milling machines.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate machinery safely and follow all established Safety Policies and Procedures.

    + Work from drawings and written instructions to create parts.

    + Set up and operate CNC machines, performing diversified and complex operations on one or more machines simultaneously.

    + Write and edit programs to meet overall part tolerance requirements.

    + Provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced machinists.

    + Run multiple machines simultaneously and handle changeovers without assistance.

    + Write basic programs, post-edit CNC programs, and troubleshoot errors.

    + Set up jobs, run jobs, and inspect parts.

    + Perform external setup tasks for the next job while the machine is running.

    + Inspect workpieces at the beginning and throughout the production run to ensure part meets tolerance requirements.

    + Replace cutting tools and establish proper tool offsets and make necessary adjustments.

    + Perform preventative maintenance as needed on assigned equipment.

    + Advise supervisor of conduct that may violate rules, policies, and procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC mill machines.

    + Ability to use quality precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.

    + Experience performing full setups and editing programs using G and M codes.

    + Ability to read blueprints and setup sheets.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in machining industries supplying to the automotive or aerospace sector.

    + Ability to read MasterCam prints.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a climate-controlled, organized, and clean facility. The standard shift is 1st shift (5am-3:30pm) Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime on Friday and Saturday. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art CNC Mill Centers, including DMG Mori, Mazak Integrex and Multiplex, and Okuma.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $69870.00/yr.
