    **Pay :** $24 – $36/hr (Based on experience)

    •Job Description

     

    As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and checking out programming for numerically controlled machine tools. You will operate these tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to exacting tolerances and finish specifications. This role requires considerable skill, as you will work from programming instructions and operational data to define and code tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare stock material for pattern tooling to be machined on the CNC mill.

    + Hand-finish projects from the CNC mill, including patterns, core boxes, and core masks.

    + Load and unload tools in the CNC mill and operate it with new and production programs.

    + Document tooling concerns and communicate them to the Supervisors.

    + Identify and locate commonly used patterns.

    + Use and maintain tools, sanders, band saws, and drill press safely and efficiently.

    + Safely operate an electric forklift.

    + Meet all company work schedule and attendance expectations.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Learn to set up patterns for production using DBR software.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of CNC machining techniques and methods.

    + Ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications.

    + High School degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    + One year of experience in a foundry, woodworking, or pattern shop.

    + Forklift certification.

    + Service-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

    + Strong written and oral communication skills.

    + Self-motivated with attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools, saws, and calipers.

    + Ability to work with solvents, paints, and epoxies.

    + Basic math skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in CNC, change over, medical, and machine operating.

    + Familiarity with CNC machines.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a foundry environment, subject to extreme temperatures, dust, and noise. Safety glasses are required. This role involves physical and environmental demands.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sultan, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
