Position Overview
We are seeking a **Commercial Property Maintenance Technician** with a strong focus on **painting projects** for our commercial properties. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in detailed, professional work and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks. When painting projects are not scheduled, you will assist with general facilities maintenance to ensure our properties remain in top condition.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform interior and exterior painting for commercial properties, ensuring high-quality finishes.
+ Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming as needed.
+ Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working order.
+ Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks, which may include:
+ Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
+ Light carpentry
+ General upkeep and preventative maintenance
+ Respond promptly to work orders and communicate effectively with property managers.
+ Adhere to safety standards and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications
+ Proven experience in professional painting (commercial or residential).
+ Basic knowledge of general maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
+ Experience working in commercial property settings.
+ Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve minor facility issues.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, ME.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
