    Job Title: Welder and Fitter

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter to join our team. This position offers a long-term opportunity with potential for growth and advancement. The role involves working Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform metal fabrication on railings, beams, doors, and frames using blueprints.

    + Conduct stick and pipe welding on heavy steel products such as doors and railings.

    + Utilize presses and shears to bend and punch products.

    + Execute grinding and bending of products, using shears and press brakes when necessary.

    + Build platforms out in the field as required.

    + Install railings, frames, and doors at various work sites.

    + Read and interpret drawings to fabricate and fix metal components such as frames, doors, and railings.

    Essential Skills

    + 2 years of welding experience in Mig and stick techniques.

    + 2 years of blueprint reading experience for metal fabrication tasks.

    + 2 years of fitting and fabrication experience specific to pipe-related metal fabrication.

    + Proficient use of a tape measure and ability to pass a basic math test covering fractions and decimals.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Tig welding is an advantage.

    + No certifications required.

    + Experience in fabricating metal parts and components is highly valued.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is an industrial shop with two open bay garage working areas. Conditions can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but work is conducted under cover.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McKeesport, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
