    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    •** **Job Description

     

    As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for driving a sit-down forklift to pick orders within the warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and loading and unloading trucks. You will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations and ensuring timely dispatch of goods.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products, equipment, and materials.

    + Utilize a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy.

    + Load and unload trailers as required.

    + Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean working environment at all times.

    + Commit to process excellence and demonstrate an understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy.

    + Perform inbound receiving processes effectively.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of warehouse experience.

    + Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.

    + Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally.

    + Capability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.

    + Physical ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.

    + Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

    + Dexterity to use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment.

    + Tolerance for hot or cold warehouse environments.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with sit-down forklifts.

    + Proficiency in using RF scanners.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Counting skills.

    Work Environment

     

    The warehouse maintains a very clean environment. It can be hot in the summer and colder in the winter, with a generally quiet atmosphere except for running forklifts. Work is structured around shifts, with the possibility of overtime during peak business periods.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albert Lea, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $21.25/hr.
