    Job Description​

    **Director of Finance -** Responsible for the financial reporting of 4 entities. Saint Luke's Physician Group, Heart Surgeons of Kansas City, Rockhill Orthopaedic Specialists, & Advanced Urologic Associates. This position is also responsible for the effective supervision and operation of the Finance department.

     

    The Director of Finance leader will have 4 direct reports. 1 manager and 3 Sr. Financial Analysts.

    Essential accountabilities

    + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

    + Assists leadership and departments in understanding the financial performance of the organization, using financial data to assist in making operational decisions.

    + Ensures the timely completion and analysis of the monthly financial results for the organization.

    + Oversee the preparation and development of operating and capital budgets, as well as the long range financial plan.

    + BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

    Position requirements

    The Director of Finance will have the following combination of skills and experience:

    + Minimum of 6-9 years of experience

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field

    + Comfortable working in a complex matrix organization.

    + Strong sense of mission and an active, engaged leadership style.

    + Strategic thinker with the ability to partner with executive and system leadership in strategic and tactical planning and implementation.

    + Highly successful in driving change within an organization.
