    Overview

    The Salvation Army’s Divisional Headquarters in Canton is hiring a Driver and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

    Location : Canton, MA area

     

    Hours/week: Casual/On-Call

     

    Exemption: Non-exempt

     

    Pay Range : $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

     

    *starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*

     

    Drive, load and unload box truck for all MA Divisional Events per Divisional Calendar

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Pick up truck at rental location.

    + Load equipment/supplies into box truck

    + Drive box truck to event location.

    + Unload truck and assist with setup as needed.

    + Return truck to rental location.

    + Remain up to date with Keep SAfe Trainings

    + Perform other related duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education Requirements:

    High school or equivalent

    Work Experience:

    At least 1 year of experience as a professional driver (e.g., commercial, delivery, personal chauffeur, etc.)

    Other Qualifications:

    + Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive rental box truck safely at any time

    + Must be 21 years of age or older

    + Willingness to work irregular hours

    + Good interpersonal and communication skills

    + Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs

    + Must understand and appreciate the Mission of The Salvation Army
