Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing all areas related to the processing of accounts payable and related month-end close processes. The manager will supervise a team of four, ensuring that tasks are properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead the daily operations of the accounts payable department.
+ Manage and supervise the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely completion of work.
+ Address and meet tight weekly deadlines across various AP activities.
+ Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting all accounts payable monthly financial information.
+ Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
+ Work with direct reports to establish goals and objectives, monitor progress, and enhance professional development.
+ Manage weekly and off-cycle check and ACH/Wire pay runs, ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
+ Handle confidential information with sensitivity and integrity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of accounts payable leadership experience
+ Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
+ Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Customer-focused with excellent customer service skills
+ Strong research and analytical abilities
+ Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong organizational skills

Work Environment:
This is a 5-day on-site role located in the Baltimore office, featuring a cubicle-style setup. The work environment is collaborative, with direct interaction with AP specialists, the Controller, and the Director of Finance. It is a fast-paced, hands-on, and operations-driven setting within a manufacturing company. Immediate access to equipment and workspace allows candidates to hit the ground running.

This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
