    Job Title: ControllerJob Description

     

    This position involves financial oversight and expense monitoring, ensuring budget compliance and cost efficiency while supporting EBIT improvement plans.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor administrative and overhead expenses to ensure budget compliance and cost efficiency.

    + Analyze spending trends, identify areas for savings, and propose actionable cost-reduction initiatives.

    + Provide monthly variance analysis and performance reports to management, highlighting key insights.

    + Partner with operations to track profitability by business unit.

    + Design, document, and oversee the implementation of new financial and operational procedures (SOPs).

    + Monitor adherence to established procedures and ensure corrective actions where needed.

    + Strengthen internal controls across accounting and operational workflows.

    + Coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.

    + Support automation and system improvements in collaboration with IT and BI teams.

    + Streamline workflows between Finance, Operations, and Shared Services.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Accounting and Financial Analysis.

    + Expertise in Reconciliation, General Ledger, Financial Modeling, and Financial Reporting.

    + Solid understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and corporate budgeting principles.

    + Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives focused on cost reduction and efficiency.

    + Experience with ERP and BI tools (CargoWise One, Great Plains, TruckMate, Power BI, etc.).

    + Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

    + 8+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with strong exposure to cost control and process optimization.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based onsite at the corporate office.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $39.00/hr.
