    Senior Revenue Integrity Charge Analyst - Revenue Integrity

    Work location: Texas Health Resources, 612 East Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011

     

    (Primarily Remote, must live in Dallas-Fort Worth area or be willing to relocate)

     

    Work hours: Full Time Days (Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

    What You Will Do:

    Charge Capture Subject Matter Expert

     

    Serve as charge capture SME for clinical revenue generating departments as it relates to charge capture activities and processes to achieve accurate charging practices and/or improvement in charge capture.

     

    Monitor clinical revenue generating department work queues to ensure timely review and resolution.

     

    Review assigned workqueues to facilitate resolution of charge related errors.

     

    Promote process standardization across related clinical revenue generating departments to improve charge capture processes for the system.

     

    Provide support to clinical revenue generating departments as it pertains to charge discrepancy research and facilitate issue resolution, as needed.

     

    Complete assigned special projects in a timely manner, seeking advice and guidance as necessary to ensure proper understanding.

     

    Perform root cause analysis on identified simple to complex charge related issues and collaborate with appropriate teams to resolve.

     

    Partner with Supply Chain, Chargemaster Services, clinical revenue generating departments, IT, and other areas to ensure charges mapped to various charge capture mechanisms (i.e. charging preference lists, flow sheets, etc) are up to date and billing compliant for each department.

     

    Partner with IT personnel to ensure charge capture workflows within interfacing software and/or modules (i.e. OpTime, Cupid, Radiant, etc) are correct and billing compliant.

     

    Utilize extensive knowledge of items related to billing (charge codes, revenue codes, reimbursement methodologies, claim edits, etc.) to support the facilitation of timely billing.

     

    Utilize extensive knowledge of published policies and regulations pertaining to charge capture and billing to ensure compliant billing.

    Charge Capture Monitoring

     

    Monitor dashboards and key performance indicators to facilitate resolution for issues preventing accounts from timely billing.

     

    Develop and maintain scorecards, dashboards, and ad hoc reports using a variety of source systems and presentation software for review, analysis, and interpretation to report trends and opportunities for charge capture improvement.

     

    Provide recommendations based on findings to improve charge capture workflows and to standardize charge capture practices.

     

    Facilitate meetings with charge champions and department leaders to report trends and identify charge capture process improvement opportunities.

    Charge Capture Training

     

    Execute charge capture education strategy to ensure individuals involved in charge capture processes receive all necessary education, training, and resource materials to enable them to fulfill their responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner.

     

    Identify education/training needs for clinical revenue generating departments in assigned service line areas.

     

    Document and communicate charge capture workflows.

    Charge Capture Validation Testing

    Participate in validating testing for initiatives affecting charge routing and posting

    Provide implementation and upgrade support, as needed.

    Serve as project manager for assigned charge optimization projects

    Mentor, collaborate, and provide guidance to Revenue Integrity Charge Analysts. Develop, document, and share best practices within department, to include department workflows, reporting templates, other applicable templates or material to aid in department efficiency. 10%

    What You Need:

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree Business or Healthcare related preferred Req

    Experience

    5 Years Increasing knowledge and experience in charge capture in healthcare setting Req

Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to healthcare charge capture, billing, and CDM/coding compliance. Demonstrate intrapersonal skills, a positive demeanor, professional skills/approach, good verbal and written communication skills, as well as initiative and self-motivation. Must be detail oriented and have proficient analytical skills to resolve charge related issues. Possess ability to work independently, proactively with limited supervision and also as a team player when called upon. **Supervision** Individual Contributor **ADA Requirements** Working Indoors 67% or more **Physical Demands** Sedentary
