Data Architect – Azure & Data Engineering

Schedule: Part-time (20 hours/week), flexible between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities

+ Design and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.

+ Implement secure, scalable, and reliable Azure solutions.

+ Apply Data Vault 2.0 methodologies using automation tools like Wherescape.

+ Develop and maintain fact and dimension table models for data warehousing.

+ Ensure data quality, accessibility, and compliance across all data lake resources.

+ Document designs, procedures, and troubleshooting methods clearly.

+ Provide knowledge transfer and best practices for monitoring and optimization.

Required Skills

+ Deep expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and related Azure data tools.

+ Strong experience with SQL (writing, reviewing, and optimizing code).

+ Proven ability to design and maintain data pipelines and workflows.

+ Experience with data modeling (fact/dimension tables) and Data Vault 2.0.

+ Solid understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards.

+ Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

+ 7+ years working with large, complex database systems.

Nice-to-Have Skills

+ Proficiency in Python or PowerShell.

+ Familiarity with automation tools like Wherescape.

+ Experience with information marts and delivering consumable data products.

This is a Contract position based out of ORLANDO, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
