    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited college or university and three years of management experience in a Criminal Justice or Correctional Setting

     

    Prior experience to Assist Director with Strategic Planning and Budget Management

     

    Ability to Assist Director with Hiring, Training, Supervising, and Staff Evaluation

     

    Experience serving as a liaison and collaborating with other staff, units, offices, and departments (OWL Unit Officers, Facility Leaders, OPS Analysts, Agents, etc.)

     

    Experience assisting with policy and procedural implementation oversight

     

    NOTE: This position will serve as the deputy. This position requires you to remain on call and be prepared to work extended hours or manage operations during emergencies. This position will be in the Over Watch Unit and is located at State Offices South at Tift College in Forsyth Georgia

    Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of directly job-related experience in a criminal justice or correctional system, two (2) years of which with management experience; or four (4) years of supervisory custodial experience in a criminal justice or correctional system, two (2) years of which at a level equivalent to a manager in a law enforcement setting: or four (4) years of directly related experience in a criminal justice or correctional system, eighteen (18) months of which experience is required at the lower level Mgr, Correctional Administration (PSM080) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require P.O.S.T. certification and agency-specific training and or certification.
