-
The College of Law is a seeking part-time instructor to teach a compressed-format Legal & Business Principles in Sports and Entertainment course in our online JDInteractive program during the Spring 2026 term, with the possibility of teaching the course in subsequent years. This is a non-tenure-eligible, non-renewable contract faculty position. This course examines that area of law known as “Sports and Entertainment Law,” which most sports and entertainment law practitioners agree has no set definition, but includes a hybrid of distinct areas of the law, including but not limited to intellectual property and contracts. In this class, our goal is to focus on the protection of intellectual property and the contractual relationships between various parties in the sports and entertainment industries. The relationship between the athlete/artist and his/her manager, agent, lawyer, employer, endorsers and others will be explored in great detail.
