Role Overview
An experienced professional with strong expertise in DevOps practices, AWS cloud services, Linux administration, Python scripting, and Application Support. The role also requires proficiency in GxP compliance processes, Change Management, Client Management, and Project Planning to ensure successful delivery of projects in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Automation
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Develop Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and integration tasks.
AWS Cloud Administration
Manage AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, etc.).
Ensure cost optimization and security compliance in cloud environments.
Perform backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
Linux Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
Troubleshoot system issues and ensure uptime and performance.
Implement security hardening and patch management.
Application Support
Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise applications in a regulated environment.
Monitor application performance and resolve incidents within SLA.
Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes and enhancements.
Maintain documentation for troubleshooting and knowledge base.
GxP Compliance & Change Management
Ensure all processes adhere to GxP and regulatory requirements.
Manage change requests, approvals, and documentation as per SOPs.
Conduct impact analysis and risk assessment for changes.
Client Management & Communication
Act as a primary point of contact for client interactions.
Provide regular status updates and manage expectations.
Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Project Planning & Delivery
Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Track progress and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
Coordinate between offshore and onshore teams for seamless execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Strong experience in DevOps tools and practices.
Hands-on expertise in AWS services and Linux administration.
Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
Knowledge of Shell scripting and other automation tools.
Experience in Application Support (L2/L3) for enterprise systems.
Compliance & Process:
Understanding of GxP, FDA, and other regulatory frameworks.
Experience in Change Management processes.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Strong project planning and leadership capabilities.
Experience:
8+ years in DevOps/AWS/Linux/Application Support roles.
Experience in pharma or regulated environments preferred.
Working arrangements:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Foster City - CA. Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until Nov 20 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 88,690 K -$ 153,000 K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
