Overview
The Government Affairs Analyst will play a critical role in shaping public policy decisions that impact the organization's operations and industry landscape through advocacy for the company's interests while fostering positive relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducts comprehensive research and analysis of regulatory and legislative policies, translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Monitors, tracks, and reports on local, regional, and federal legislative developments, proactively identifying trends and assessing organizational impact.
• Builds and maintains effective relationships with policymakers, local officials, and community leaders to facilitate timely information exchange and feedback.
• Develops and delivers data-driven communications and advocacy materials to enhance transparency, trust, and influence among policymakers.
• Coordinates with internal teams to cascade legislative updates and advocacy priorities throughout the organization.
• Strengthens third-party support for the legislative agenda by collaborating with industry stakeholders, trade associations, and advocacy groups.
• Creates and disseminates educational resources (e.g., newsletters, webinars, campaigns) tailored to advocacy groups and policymakers.
• Establishes feedback loops to capture and analyze stakeholder input, informing legislative strategy and organizational decision-making.
• Represents and protects company interests in legislative proceedings and market rule development, ensuring compliance and advocacy alignment.
• Demonstrates initiative, analytical skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and fostering continuous learning.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Associate Government Affairs Analyst– bachelor’s degree required
• Intermediate Govt Affairs Analyst– bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience required
• Affairs Analyst– bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience required
• Lead Govt Affairs Analyst – bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience required
*Position will be filled at the level comensurate to the candidate's education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in public policy, public admin., business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of legislative processes are essential.

Remote Work
