Special Education Teacher Position Details

+ Grade Level: Varies between Elementary-Transition age, based on preference

+ Classroom Model: Self-contained with opportunities for push-in/pull-out support

+ Location: Crestwood, IL

+ Start Date: December 2025 or January 2026

Key Responsibilities

+ Deliver specialized instruction and tutorial assistance tailored to student needs.

+ Participate in planning and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs).

+ Consult and collaborate with general education staff to ensure inclusive learning experiences.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Special Education endorsement or certification (preferred)

+ Compliance with all professional standards and state requirements

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ Health requirements: TB screening, PPD/chest X-ray, and health certificate as needed

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Minimum age: 18 years
