    Registered Nurse (RN) – Alcohol andDrug Addiction Treatment Center

     

    Weare seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) fora 16-week contract at a state-supported facility serving individualswith Alcohol and Drug addiction treatment services. This role is ideal fornurses who are passionate about person-centered care and thrive in acollaborative, supportive environment.

    Shift/Sched : Days or Nights | 645a-715p or645p-715a | 36hrs/wk | every other weekend

     

    Contract : 16 weeks (13wk extensions)

     

    Start Date: 12/1 or 12/15

    Pay:

    + Local Rate: $48/hour

    + Travel Package:

    + 36 hrs/week: $2,074/week

    + $23/hour base rate

    + $46/hour overtime rate

    + $1,246 weekly stipend

    Julian F. KeithAlcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center was established in Black Mountain,N.C., in 1969. As the need for substance use treatment in North Carolina grew,JFK evolved and expanded to provide the array of medically monitored servicesthat are offered today.

     

    Inpatient Services

     

    Acute Care Unit

     

    + The ACU is staffed with an interdisciplinary team that provides medically monitored detoxification services for substance use patients and psychiatric stabilization for substance use patients with co-occurring mental health disorders. Involuntary and voluntary admissions are considered.

    + Acute Rehabilitation Services

    + Acute rehabilitation services consist of a full day of therapy groups, classes, and activities to help individuals understand the addiction process and the impact of co-occurring mental health disorders. Education and tools to begin the recovery process are also provided. At discharge, individuals are referred for continuing treatment through local mental health providers, programs, self-help groups and other outpatient resources.

     

    Outpatient Services

     

    + JFK ADATC Outpatient Services include pre-admission and post-discharge Peer Support Services.

     

    Pre-admission services are provided to individuals who have been approved for admission to our facility. A Certified Peer Support Specialist contacts individuals on the waiting list to offer support and resource connections to help them follow through with their scheduled admission date.

     

    Post-discharge services are provided to individuals for up to 30 days following their discharge from the rehabilitation unit or acute care unit. Certified Peer Support Specialists offer support and resource connections to aid in early recovery efforts.

    Certified Peer SupportSpecialists support individuals by:

    + Sharing their own recovery experiences.

    + Linking individuals with community resources.

    + Accompanying individuals to recovery support meetings.

    + Connecting individuals with resources for employment, food, clothing, vital records, phone, transportation and community-based treatment.

    + Making introductions to establish connections with other Peer Support Specialists in their community.
