About this Job
The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral and psychiatric support needs.
We are seeking dedicated people to join our staff supporting our Mission. This position plays a vital role in the care, security and enhancing the quality of life and well-being of the people we support.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of the required experience in the following minimum qualification must have been at the supervisory level or above:
Four years of training or experience in health services, behavioral health treatment, developmentally disabled services, rehabilitation services, or special education; OR
Six years of full-time work in any field plus one year of experience in health services, behavioral health treatment, developmentally disabled services, rehabilitation services, or special education; OR
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in health services, behavioral health treatment, developmentally disabled services, rehabilitation services, or special education.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Provide 24-hour oversight for assigned program.
+ Supervise the Residential Services Specialist 6s in the assigned program across shifts (day/night) and teams (A/B) in supervising the daily operations of the units.
+ Assists the Residential Services Specialist 8 and the IDD Program Director 3 by directing administratively the day-to-day implementation of assign program and day-to-day implementation of resident treatment plans to ensure compliance with Title XIX Licensing Standards and with facility policies and procedures.
+ In-Service direct support staff when issues are noted and related to changes and initiatives occurring at the facility and the assigned program.
+ Conduct formal and informal observations of direct support staff in assigned program and programmatic settings.
+ Identify trends and patterns of occurring and re-occurring issues related to direct support involvement in administering individual treatment plans, facility policies and procedures.
+ Assist interdisciplinary (ID) teams and facility leadership to identify modifications to processes beneficial to the direct support staff and individuals supported and designed to enhance the quality of service delivery system.
+ Coordinate the work of the direct support staff, to ensure implementation of individual treatment plans.
+ Ensure nutritional, behavioral and physical support plans developed by the ID team are implemented by the direct care staff as intended.
+ Complete performance planning and evaluation on subordinate employees and control their time and attendance.
+ Direct supervisors in developing employees’ skills.
+ Counsel supervisors in work procedures, problem areas, policies and regulations.
+ Ensure subordinates receive required training, orientation and are informed of policy and procedure changes.
+ Ensure supervisors are trained to counsel employees.
+ Direct interviews and makes recommendations for filling vacancies in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
+ Ensure individual’s records are maintained with current and precise documentation in accordance with all applicable regulations, stands and guidelines.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state and accreditation regulations, standards and guidelines for assigned program.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Administrator to support the Agency and/or the people we serve.
Position-Specific Details:
Shift: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm Pass Days: Saturday and Sunday
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer or Detail to Special Duty. Preferences may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
