Required Education/Experience
+ High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' relevant experience or
+ Associate's Degree and 5 years' relevant experience or
+ Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' relevant experience
Relevant Work Experience
+ Successfully complete the Massachusetts Fire Academy NGA LNG course, required. Required
+ Must be a highly motivated individual. Demonstrate a strong Commitment to Excellence, and understand the vital importance of personal accountability, required. Required
+ Safety and environmental incident response, required. Required
+ Ability to effectively interact with various levels of personnel, required. Required
+ Completion of Company CEHSP program as soon as possible. Successful completion of position-specific EH&S as applicable, required. Required
+ Strong team player, required. Required
+ Demonstrated ability to obtain results, required. Required
+ Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to successfully complete multiple tasks without compromising quality or timelines, required. Required
+ Must be able to develop concepts into successful safety and environmental programs, required. Required
+ Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, regulatory agencies, and various levels of management, required. Required
+ Must possess strong leadership skills, initiate and champion change, and have the ability to influence and persuade others in order to improve work practices/processes, required. Required
+ Must be able to deliver exemplary customer service and develop a team spirited work environment in support of Con Edison's Corporate Values, required. Required
+ Must demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and/or an ability to quickly become proficient with database packages including Microsoft Office, EMIS, SHIMS, and Maximo, required. Required

Licenses and Certifications
+ Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
+ Ability to respond to system emergencies
+ Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
+ Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
+ Ability to climb ladders and stairs
+ Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment
+ Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations
+ Ability to climb in and out of manholes and excavations
+ Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
+ Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
+ Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
Additional Physical Demands
+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed
+ Must be available to respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis
