Database Marketing Analyst

**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** The Database Marketing Analyst provides detailed reporting on player and database trends and generates actionable data sets that can be used for marketing efforts (including Direct Marketing). This position is responsible for creating Pro and Post Forma analyses of promotions and events, providing detailed reports on performance, and delivering trend analysis to management. By interpreting data, the analyst will help identify opportunities for growth, highlight areas of concern, and support data-driven decision-making across the marketing and player development teams.
Primary Tasks:
1. Conduct Pro Forma analysis of upcoming marketing programs and campaigns, forecasting profitability and providing recommendations based on data-driven insights.
2. Produce in-depth analysis of the impact on all Marketing Promotions and provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
3. Generate monthly reports summarizing tracked play and player tier performance, across all revenue streams.
4. Develop monthly direct marketing redemption reports, analyzing customer redemption behaviors and their associated play to assess campaign success and inform future efforts.
5. Develop historical, current and future trend analysis from promotional data to create reporting from the Accounting and Player Tracking systems for each property that outlines their progress towards achieving annual goals.
6. Produce reports showing the overall performance of new members, redemption of free play grouped by usage type, and tracked play by geography to highlight growth and contraction markets.
7. Assist in assessing and communicating financial results by preparing comprehensive reports and presentations detailing key findings and recommendations.
8. Generate monthly financial summary reports that provides comprehensive analysis.
9. Collaborate with other departments as needed to plan and/or execute initiatives and projects.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum:
+ Bachelor's degree in marketing, accounting, finance, business administration, Computer Science or related field and one [1] or more years of database marketing/analytics experience, OR three [3] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.
+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills including, higher level functions in EXCEL such as Pivot Tables, sumifs, Nested formulas, V/H lookups, Macros, Graphing, Power Pivot, etc.
+ Ability to read, analyze, interpret and make enhanced financial recommendations based on statistical reports
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively
+ Ability to work across multiple projects effectively while also maintaining organization, meeting deadlines, possessing integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling confidential information.
