As a Sr. Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Kensho Labs, you’ll help S&P Global’s strategic clients transform their businesses through solutions such as data retrieval agents, automated report generation, and novel applications of techniques like deep research that make use of Kensho’s AI capabilities.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced solutions leader to partner with our customers and ensure they achieve tangible business value from our AI capabilities. You will partner with senior business stakeholders to understand their pre-sales needs, guide their AI strategy, and identify the highest value use cases and applications. You will work with business and technical teams to demonstrate the value of our solutions and recommend architectural patterns to kickstart their implementation and development. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, and Design teams.
In this role, you will:
+ Deliver exceptional pre-sales and post-sales experiences by providing technical expertise, outlining the value proposition, and answering product, API, and LLM-related questions.
+ Demonstrate how Kensho AI capabilities meet business needs through demos, use case scoping, architecture recommendations, system design, and in-depth technical advisory and delivery.
+ Create and maintain documentation, guides, implementation frameworks, and FAQs based on client engagements, and technical documentation for developmental work
+ Build strong customer relationships throughout evaluation, validation, sales, and delivery processes.
+ Champion customer voice internally by gathering feedback, identifying trends, and working with product/engineering teams on roadmap planning.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
+ Have 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical delivery role (e.g., forward deployed engineers, solution architects, ex-consultants)
+ Have industry experience in programming languages like Python or Java.
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills to simplify complex and dynamic work effectively to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
+ Own problems end-to-end and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done.
+ Have experience prototyping Generative AI/ML solutions and knowledge of SDLC, APIs, network/cloud architecture.
+ Experience in providing hands-on training and technical support to customers, helping them to understand how to use our products effectively and address their questions and concerns.
+ Are an effective presenter and communicator who can translate business and technical topics to all audiences, including senior leaders.
+ Have a humble attitude, collaborative spirit, and commitment to excellence.
+ Willingness to travel (~ 50%) to meet customers.
