    At BAE Systems, we're dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that make a meaningful impact. We are seeking a highly skilled **Expert Enterprise Architect with a focus on A3 (AI, Automation, & Autonomy) Modernization** to join our team in Vicksburg, MS and Dulles, VA.

     

    The **Expert Enterprise Architect** will hold a critical role for our IT enterprise, responsible for leading the architectural vision, design, and implementation of highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions. Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, enterprise-wide artificial intelligence systems that align with business objectives. This role requires a strategic leader to define the architectural vision for AI/ML, ensure its integration into existing enterprise infrastructure, and guide the organization's AI strategy to drive innovation and efficiency while adhering to ethical and legal standards. This individual will collaborate, lead and manage other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate enterprise business requirements into effective and efficient cloud infrastructure designs. The candidate that fits this position has experience as a Cloud Design Engineer and is responsible for Cloud systems engineering, provisioning, managing cloud services/systems.

    Duties:

    + **Strategic Planning:** Partner with business stakeholders to translate business objectives into AI strategies and roadmaps.

    + **Architecture Design:** Design and oversee the end-to-end architecture for AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model deployment, and integration with existing systems.

    + **Solution Development:** Build, prototype, and deploy robust AI models and algorithms, such as deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision, to address specific business problems.

    + **Technical Leadership:** Guide technical teams, mentor junior developers, and ensure the implementation of AI solutions is secure, stable, and high-performing.

    + **Data and Model Management:** Oversee the collection, preprocessing, and quality assurance of data for model training, and tune models to achieve optimal accuracy and performance.

    + **Compliance and Ethics:** Ensure all AI initiatives comply with ethical guidelines, legal requirements, and enterprise governance policies.

    + **Innovation and Research:** Stay current with the latest advancements in AI research and technology to identify and incorporate new methodologies into the enterprise architecture.

    + **Integration:** Collaborate with software developers to integrate AI capabilities into new and existing applications and systems.

    + **Performance and Optimization:** Evaluate and compare different AI techniques and optimize the performance of AI models and platforms to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

    Location:

    + This candidate shall be located within 50 miles of Vicksburg, MS & Dulles, VA.

     

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

    + Minimum of 12 years of experience as an Engineering Architect, including 5 years of experience focused on Cloud Engineering & AI implementation.

    + Active Top Secret clearance required.

    + Self-Efficient with Supervisor/Manager experience

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Certifications:

    + DoDM 8140.03 (former DoD 8570.01-M) Level 3 Certification within six months of start date.

    + AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent

    + IBM AI Engineering Professional certification or equivalent AI/ML cert

    + TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) cert or DOGAF cert

    + ITIL 4 Foundations within six months of start date.

    + Possession of at least one intermediate- to advanced-level certification recognized by industry standards in the relevant field of practice

    + Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

    + Desired certifications: PMP

    + DoDM 8140.03 (former DoD 8570.01-M) Level 3 Certification.

    + ITIL v4 foundations.

    + Configuration Management/Document Management.

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
