As a Principal Autonomy, Artificial Intelligence, Automation Developer, you'll play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge automation, AI, and autonomy solutions for a large government enterprise contract. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and operational resilience.

     

    As a senior developer, you'll be responsible for designing, testing, and deploying engineering artifacts, including scripts, models, and frameworks, using tools like Python, TensorFlow, or UIPath. You'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct proof-of-concepts, and ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards. Your expertise will help drive innovation in AI/ML models, robotic process automation (RPA), and autonomous workflows, enabling intelligent systems that support high-stakes government operations.

     

    In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including the development of AI/autonomy solutions that integrate with secure networks and adhere to ethical AI principles. You'll mentor junior developers, lead knowledge sharing, and contribute to continual improvement initiatives aligned with ITIL service design and transition practices.     Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + 10 years of experience developing, testing, and deploying automation, AI, and autonomy artifacts in government or large enterprise environments

    + Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)

    + Strong knowledge of federal AI/automation standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service development and operations

    + Proficiency in development tools (e.g., Python, UIPath, TensorFlow) and deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git)

    + Excellent analytical, coding, and problem-solving skills for innovative AI solutions under constraints

     

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Certified DevSecOps Expert (CDE)

    + UIPath Automation Developer Associate certification

    + Experience supporting DoD or large federal AI/autonomy projects, including integration with secure networks and ethical AI compliance

    + ITIL 4 Foundation certification

    + Background in DevSecOps (e.g., GitLab CI/CD) and advanced AI techniques (e.g., reinforcement learning)

    + Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning)

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
