As a Principal UC IT Security Manager, you'll plan, design, and recommend improvements and enhancements to on-premises and cloud-based UC systems to secure and defend communication platforms against threats. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include planning and designing security architectures, recommending improvements and enhancements, overseeing the implementation of security controls, and monitoring UC environments for vulnerabilities and threats.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
+ 6 years of experience in UC IT security management, with hands-on expertise planning, designing, and enhancing security for on-premises and cloud-based communication platforms in government or large enterprise settings
+ Proven track record recommending and implementing improvements to secure voice, video, and collaboration systems against cyber threats
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)
+ Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service security management
+ Proficiency in UC security tools (e.g., Cisco ISE, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps) and protocols for secure communications
+ Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills for threat defense and stakeholder recommendations
+ Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines, with the ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

+ Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certification
+ CompTIA Security certification
+ Experience supporting DoD or large federal UC environments, including hybrid cloud defenses for platforms like Teams or Jabber
+ ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification, with focus on service design and security
+ Background in zero-trust architectures for UC and scripting for security automation (e.g., PowerShell for config audits)
+ Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CISSP)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
