As a **Principal Patch Management Server Administrator** , you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional IT support to the customer. As a Principal Patch Management Server Administrator, you'll proactively manage and monitor the patch level of physical and virtual servers and networks to ensure proper operation, recommending and implementing patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing patch levels, recommending and deploying patches, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess patch impacts and schedule deployments.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
+ 10 years of experience in patch management and server administration, with hands-on expertise proactively monitoring and updating physical/virtual servers and networks in government or large enterprise settings
+ Proven track record recommending and implementing patches to ensure operational security and compliance
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)
+ Strong knowledge of federal IT standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service operations and change management
+ Proficiency in patch management tools (e.g., Microsoft SCCM, Red Hat Satellite) and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere)
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills for high-stakes vulnerability remediation
+ Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness

+ Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification
+ VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification
+ Experience supporting DoD or large federal patch management programs, including automated deployment in hybrid cloud setups
+ ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification, with focus on continual improvement
+ Background in scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus)
+ Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security )
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
