    Job Description

    A leading media and entertainment company is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the team behind its digital asset management platform. This group supports multiple internal business units and is focused on scaling workflows that manage media assets—videos, images, and audio—through their lifecycle in a digital environment. This is a fully remote role, working pacific standard time. This is a contract through the end of June 2026, with likely yearly extensions. You will be responsible for:

    • Extending and replicate existing media workflows to make them template-driven and reusable, aiming for 80+ workflows by July.

    • Deploying and developing hundreds of AWS Lambda functions to power these workflows.

    • Backend TypeScript serverless development .

    Skills and Requirements

     

    6+ years of Software Engineering experience with majority of experience being on the backend

     

    Song experience with TypeScript (ideally on the backend, but front end only could be sufficient if you're willing to learn)

     

    Hands-on expertise in AWS Lambda and serverless development with TypeScript

     

    Knowledge of stateless design and AWS ecosystem.

     

    Familiarity with API development.

     

    Comfortable leveraging AI for testing and CI/CD improvement Understanding Media workflows and or/digital distribution and those pipelines
