Position Description
We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position. The prospective postdoctoral fellow will work with faculty and students conducting research on health care markets, policy and regulation. During the one or two-year fellowship, the fellow will work with faculty on ongoing research focused on a range of issues including insurance markets, drug pricing, provider pricing, vertical integration of healthcare organizations, and regulation of health care markets. The fellow will also have time for their own complementary research, and we will facilitate access to our data sources in support of their research. The fellow will be supervised by Professor Leemore Dafny (https://www.hbs.edu/faculty/Pages/profile.aspx?facId=220887) .
Appointment to begin July 1, 2026, renewable for a second year based on mutual agreement.
Basic Qualifications
+ A Ph.D. in economics, public policy or a closely related field. All degree requirements must be satisfied prior to the fellowship start date and not be more than five years removed from obtaining their PhD.
+ Applicants are expected to have strong analytical and programming skills, and preferably have completed graduate industrial organization courses in an Economics department.
+ Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to build trust and collaboration by being present on-site and engaging directly with colleagues and various constituents.
PLEASE NOTE : If you have obtained your Ph.D. in the past 12 months you must be able to provide a certificate of completion from the degree-granting institution OR a letter from the institution’s Registrar stating all requirements for the degree have been successfully completed and should verify the date the degree has been conferred. No exceptions.

Special Instructions
These are term positions starting July 2026 (start date flexible) through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of renewal based on funding and performance. Relocation funding not provided.
This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
Please note that we will be conducting interviews virtually (phone and/or Zoom) for selected candidates.
