Job Description

**Metro is looking for a motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide coverage for our outpatient facilities on a** **_per diem_** **basis, with opportunities throughout Nassau County.** Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative team!

What You’ll Do:

+ Provide one-on-one treatment

+ Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.

+ Custom Splint Fabrication for Patients

+ Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.

+ Develop and guide plans of care which encourage compliance and produce the best results for your patients.

+ Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.

+ Must be willing to treat all ages and have sensory integration experience.

Qualifications

+ Occupational Therapist Program Graduate

+ NYS Occupational Therapy License or eligible

+ Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid

+ Outpatient experience preferred

+ Strong communication and patient education skills

+ Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care

+ Sensory integration experience a plus
