Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Salt Bath Operator(s) to join our Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) group in Hampton, Virginia. The shift hours will be determined after training completion. Training is 1st shift, M-F 6am-2pm or Weekend shift, F-Sun 7am-7pm.

New Hire Starting Rate: $21.38 p/hr.; After 6 months: $23.75 p/hr.

This position will receive an hourly “shift premium” of $1.00 p/hr. while assigned to an off shift.

Job Summary: The Salt Bath Operator will leach cores per customer requirements.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:

+ Ability to load and unload basket and/or rotators per PMS.

+ Maintain bath temperature at 345 degrees per activity instruction.

+ Maintain bath levels at 10 to 12 inches below the top of the bath per activity instructions.

+ The ability to maintain and monitor the pH levels of the containment pit.

+ Record data either manually or by computer as required.

+ Ability to read and follow the information on work instructions.

Basic Qualifications:

+ An application must include a resume and two professional references for review and consideration.

+ This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

+ Applicants must have at least two years of continuous related manufacturing experience or training. Recent high school or college graduates without prior work experience must provide a letter of recommendation.

+ Availability for all shifts (including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekend shift) is necessary. The ability to work overtime and weekends is required as schedules may vary based on operational needs; flexibility is essential.

+ Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
