Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. *Duties* Family Support Workers provide home based parenting support for parents who have been identified through a standardized assessment tool as having risk factors. These helpful and supportive visits assist high risk families in learning more about their pregnancy, their child, parenting skills and empowerment. The Family Support Worker will also aid the family in location of social resources and services that can strengthen their family units. Site visits may include assistance with household management, stress and time management, parenting strategies and behavior management techniques *Education Requirements* Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Early Childhood or Child Development *Minimum Requirements * Minimum two years experience working with young children and families, birth to age six *Preferred Qualifications * Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel) Knowledge of child abuse and neglect (mandated reporting) statutes, preferred. Must have the ability to operate independently. Must have reliable transportation to conduct site visits.
