Job Summary
The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, renewable, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics in the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, beginning August 2026.
This position is focused on excellence in undergraduate instruction, student engagement, and curricular innovation. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching a range of mathematics courses that serve majors in mathematics, science, and engineering, as well as the university’s general education curriculum. There is no research expectation, but participation in scholarly activities related to teaching and learning is encouraged.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
+ Teach 12 semester credit hours per semester
+ Curriculum Development
+ Service commensurate with expectations of all faculty
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
