As a Digital Adoption Training Analyst with IBM Consulting you’ll be part of a global team of strategists, technologists, and change leaders helping federal agencies unlock the full potential of their digital investments. This position resides within the Organizational Change Management (OCM) Offering of the Talent Practice, part of IBM’s Strategy and Transformation Service Line—a group dedicated to guiding clients through complex transformation journeys.

     

    In this role, you’ll gain hands-on consulting experience working with some of the most critical federal programs in the nation. You’ll collaborate with clients and IBM experts to design and implement Digital Adoption Platforms (DAPs) such as WalkMe and Whatfix, helping federal workforces embrace new technologies and processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to strengthen your expertise in OCM, training, communications, and federal workforce consulting while contributing to projects that span every federal agency.

    Your role and responsibilities

     

    Roles and Responsibilities - Digital Adoption Training Analyst (IBM Consulting)

     

    As a Digital Adoption/Training Analyst within IBM Consulting’s Organizational Change Management (OCM) Offering, you will play a key role in helping federal agencies successfully adopt new technologies and digital workflows. You will collaborate closely with clients, IBM consultants, and technical teams to design, implement, and sustain digital adoption strategies that drive user engagement and mission success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Digital Adoption Implementation:

    * Support the design, configuration, and deployment of Digital Adoption Platforms (DAPs) such as WalkMe and Whatfix within federal systems and applications.

    * Partner with technical teams to ensure DAP solutions align with user needs, agency objectives, and system requirements.

    * Training and Enablement:

    * Develop and deliver training strategies, learning content, and user support materials that promote effective technology adoption.

    * Create interactive walkthroughs, tooltips, and self-service learning experiences within DAP tools to enhance the user experience.

    * Conduct user training sessions, workshops, and virtual demonstrations for federal employees and project stakeholders.

    * Change Management and Communications:

    * Contribute to the development and execution of organizational change management plans, including stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, and communication campaigns.

    * Draft clear, compelling communications to inform and engage users throughout the adoption lifecycle.

    * Consulting and Client Engagement:

    * Work directly with federal clients to understand workforce challenges, identify adoption barriers, and recommend solutions.

    * Support project planning, risk management, and performance reporting to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction.

    * Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing insights and recommendations based on data and user feedback.

    * Measurement and Continuous Improvement:

    * Track and analyze user adoption metrics and DAP analytics to measure success and identify improvement opportunities.

    * Provide feedback and lessons learned to continuously enhance IBM’s federal OCM and digital adoption methodologies.

    * Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

    * Partner with other IBM consultants, technical specialists, and OCM practitioners to deliver integrated solutions across federal projects.

    * Contribute to the growth of IBM’s Federal OCM Offering by sharing best practices, developing assets, and mentoring junior team members.

     

    This role offers the opportunity to apply your digital adoption and training expertise in a consulting environment where your work directly supports the transformation and modernization of federal agencies across the U.S.

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Demonstrated Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) experience working within or supporting U.S. federal government agencies, with a strong understanding of federal workforce structures, culture, and compliance requirements.

    * Proven background in Organizational Change Management (OCM), including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, communication planning, and readiness activities.

    * Experience supporting or leading training strategy and development, including needs assessment, instructional design, and delivery for large-scale technology implementations.

    * Strong consulting and client engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Technical Expertise:

    * Hands-on experience implementing and configuring DAPs such as WalkMe, Whatfix, or comparable tools to enhance end-user adoption and experience.

    * Understanding of digital adoption analytics and metrics, including the ability to track and report on user engagement, training effectiveness, and adoption outcomes.

    * Familiarity with federal IT systems and enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, HR, or financial management systems) and how DAPs integrate with these environments.

    * Working knowledge of digital learning technologies (e.g., Learning Management Systems, e-learning authoring tools) and content development best practices.

    * Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and collaboration tools to support documentation, communication, and training delivery.

    * Awareness of federal accessibility and security standards as they apply to digital training and adoption tools.

    * Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the US government

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    * Prior experience consulting within a large technology or management consulting firm, particularly supporting U.S. federal clients through digital transformation or modernization programs.

    * Exposure to enterprise-level change initiatives involving cloud migration, ERP modernization, or large-scale system deployments within government environments.

    * Experience developing and executing federal workforce transformation strategies, including reskilling, upskilling, and digital literacy programs.

    * Advanced ability to design and deliver multi-channel communication and engagement strategies to drive awareness and sustain adoption.

    * Proven success in stakeholder management and executive-level briefings, with the ability to influence decision-making and foster collaboration across diverse teams.

    * Experience working within agile or hybrid project delivery models, supporting iterative solution design and continuous improvement.

    * Certification or advanced training in Digital Adoption Platforms (DAPs) such as WalkMe and/or Whatfix.
