    Responsibilities

    ** If you were a Field Medic or Flight Medic in the military or a licensed First Responder you are encouraged to apply!

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Deliver high-quality, immediate patient care by utilizing EMT training to administer basic life support, stabilize patients, and respond swiftly to medical emergencies in a fast-paced clinical environment

    + Perform detailed patient assessments to evaluate vital signs, symptoms, and medical history, ensuring timely identification of urgent needs and accurate communication with the healthcare team

    + Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to contribute to an integrated care approach, promoting continuity and efficiency in patient treatment plans

    + Assist in triaging patients upon arrival by assessing the severity of their condition and supporting decisions on prioritization of care based on clinical protocols

    + Maintain precise and thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR), supporting legal compliance and clinical continuity

    + Inspect and manage emergency medical equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functionality, cleanliness, and availability, contributing to a safe and prepared emergency care environment

    Qualifications

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014

    + Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required

    + Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current

    Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

    + Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current

    + Current PALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current

    + Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required
