The Boeing Company is currently seeking a **Software Engineer** to support our **Daybreak** team located in **Kent,** **Washington** or **El Segundo,** **California** **.** This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry and customer standards.

+ Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products.

+ Coordinates the development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations.

+ Debugs and leads resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.

+ Researches and implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development.

Basic** **Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

+ 1+ years of experience in software engineering, with experience in cloud-native distributed systems and orchestration

+ Experience in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or any other DevOps pipeline tool chain

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

+ **Level 2:** 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

+ **Level 3:** 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Experience with AWS, AWS Lambdas, Docker, Kubernetes

+ 1+ years’ experience in Python/C++ programming on full stack software projects/programs

+ Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and interfaces

+ Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred.

+ Experience with satellite ground mission capabilities, products, and/or customers

+ Experience with DevSecOps and continuous integration (CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Associate Level (Level 2): $102,850 - $139,150

Summary pay range for Experienced Level (Level 3): $127,500 - $172,500
