Our client, a subsidiary of a major international heavy equipment manufacturer, is seeking a **CNC Maintenance Mechanic** to join their operations team. Key Responsibilities:
A CNC maintenance mechanic troubleshoots and repairs Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery by performing preventive maintenance and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. This role requires strong technical skills, including the ability to read schematics, use precision tools, and understand CNC machine design and operation. The mechanic's goal is to minimize downtime and maximize machine efficiency through a combination of hands-on repairs and routine upkeep like cleaning, lubrication, and filter changes.
+ **Preventive maintenance:** Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, filter changes, and cleaning, according to manufacturer guidelines.
+ **Troubleshooting and repair:** Diagnose and fix mechanical problems (e.g., ball screws, bearings, spindles) and electrical issues by observing machines, listening to operators, and using precision testing instruments.
+ **Component replacement:** Disassemble machinery and replace faulty components like gears, bearings, and structural parts.
+ **System upkeep:** Maintain facility systems, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems, as needed.
+ **Production support:** Work with production teams to clear alarms and get machines back to a safe and operational state quickly.
Required skills and qualifications
+ **Technical knowledge:** A strong understanding of industrial mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems is essential. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals is also required.
Requirements:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Can pass background check
Preferred Skills:
+ Knowledge of CNC operating requirements and cutting tools.
+ Experience with manufacturing equipment and processes.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work with team members and engineers.
+ Understanding of manufacturing standards, procedures, and safety policies.
