    Position Purpose:

    Oversees the produce department in the warehouse. Responsible for overall quality of produce product, including maintaining at proper temperatures, proper storage and handling, proper rotation of stock produce items, and reducing loss due to outdated/spoiled product. Ensures highest quality produce is available to meet customer needs. Solves work-related situations and resolves problems in an effective manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

    Major Functional Responsibilities:

    + Supervises produce associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.

    + Oversees and provides guidance to the produce crew to ensure safety regulations, procedures, quality standards are met. Coordinate produce related work for immediate area. Relieve produce personnel for breaks.

    + Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.

    + Assist crew with duties in emergency and non-emergency situations.

    + Perform damage and quality control checks on items received and remove items according to company policy.

    + Perform general housekeeping duties and keep produce area. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary reports and paperwork.

    + Performs other duties as assigned
