Senior Facilities Planner

Performs a variety project management activities for Facilities Management typically involving design and construction. Develops comprehensive plans, leads multi-disciplinary teams, and monitors project progress providing updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Manages the simultaneous completion of multiple and/or large complex Facilities Projects including multi-year new building constructions, renovations, clinical and operational moves/logistics, space programming and planning, and maintenance activities, independently.
Provides process leadership in the project management discipline. Provides project management monitors through all phases of a project including, but not limited to, initial planning, concept development, design, creation of budgets, requisition and oversight of capital funding, construction, site activation and fit out, logistics planning, coordination of site acclamation/training.
Responsible for development and management of project scope, development and management of project schedule, development and management of project budget and expenses, and development of progress reports as the project work proceeds.
Serves as liaison between project management team and stakeholders.
Mitigates risk and cost while organizing team goals, developing the project's critical pathway and building consensus across multiple Health System teams.
Leads a large, multi-disciplinary project team inclusive of internal and external resources, from initial conception of project to its punch list.
Reviews status of project scope, schedule and budget providing updates to leadership. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to problems to meet multiple Health System goals and objectives. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, State and Federal codes, and Medical Center policy requirements.
Posesses a working knowledge of building codes, fire and life safety codes, ADA codes, modern concepts of form and function in a healthcare setting, best building practices and is capable of generating and/or interpreting basic floor layouts based upon end-users' communicated needs, service requirements and knowledge of patient/caregiver processes and flow.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with administration, managers, clients, vendors, etc. to overcome obstacles, delays or budgetary challenges while successfully meeting organizational needs.
Performs continuous quality improvement exercises to insure cost effective, efficient processes and best possible outcomes.
Leads presentations and leads teams.
Provides education and assists with Planner development within the department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, or construction is strongly preferred.
Experience: Five years' experience in hands on project, construction management or related field.
Licensure: PMP is required within 2 years of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is primarily office-based but requires occasional travel to on-site locations, which may involve walking, climbing stairs, or navigating uneven terrain. The role may occasionally require lifting materials up to 20 pounds and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Position Compensation Range: $72,012.00 - $144,025.00 Annual
